Settings

Server-wide configuration, grouped by what it affects.

Most of what's below is also available visually on the dashboard's Guild Settings page (open /servers and pick a server) — commands and dashboard controls write to the same configuration, so use whichever is more convenient.

Identity

  • /prefix <text>Set a custom text-command prefix (max 10 characters)
  • /language <locale>Change the language Miko responds in for this server
  • /themesChange the visual theme of the now-playing music card

Access control

  • /dj toggleTurn DJ Mode on or off — when on, playback controls are restricted
  • /dj add, /dj removeGrant or revoke DJ access for a specific member
  • /dj role-add, /dj role-removeGrant or revoke DJ access for an entire role

Free vs. Premium role limits

Non-premium servers can assign 1 DJ role; Premium servers can assign up to 3. The dashboard's DJ Role control enforces the same limit.

Playback behavior

  • /247Keep the bot connected to a voice channel 24/7 instead of leaving when empty

  • /default sourceSet which search engine plain-text /play queries use by default
  • /autoplayKeep similar tracks playing automatically once the queue empties (also in Music)
  • /tempvoiceSet up a channel that automatically creates a fresh temporary voice channel per user on join
  • /setupCreate a dedicated song-request text + voice channel pair

FAQ

Who can change these settings?

Almost everything above requires the Manage Server Discord permission — same requirement whether you use the command or the dashboard.

I set a prefix but slash commands stopped showing custom text

The prefix only affects the legacy text-command mode; slash commands always work the same way regardless of your prefix setting.

Does 24/7 mode cost anything in terms of resources I should worry about?

No extra setup needed beyond enabling it — Miko handles reconnecting to your chosen voice channel automatically if it gets disconnected.
